About the Town

Getting There:
Our spectacular location: South of U.S. 192 adjacent to Interstate 4, Celebration is 30 minutes from downtown Orlando, and 20 minutes from the Orlando International Airport via the GreeneWay.

Celebration is designed as a pedestrian-friendly place to live, work and play. The miles of walking paths meander through the centers of each neighborhood, past lakes and forests, unveiling a precious downtown lakeside.

Education Opportunities:
For our little ones; the Celebration School, an innovative public, kindergarten through 12th grade facility, opened on August 11, 1997 with approximately 800 students from Celebration and Greater Osceola County. The school was designed by William Rawn Associates, Architects, Inc. In south Celebration, the High school is now open. The school is owned and operated by the Osceola County School District.

Downtown at Stetson University Center, students can enjoy a range of professional development and graduate programs, including seminars on best practices, for-credit graduate courses in business, educational leadership and counseling, Community School of the Arts music lessons, in-service training for teachers and other educators, technology training and education, and the Professional Development School (PDS) for teaching and learning.

Downtown:
Celebration's celebrated downtown is a traditional retail and business district modeled after those we all remember from our favorite small American towns. MARKET STREET, as it is named, currently features retail shops, restaurants, a town hall, post office, grocery store, offices and a cinema . Circling the lake, the promenade of shops and fine restaurants blend with the excitement of a buzzing heart of the town.

The architecture blends traditional, Southeastern exteriors with floor plans and interiors that reflect today's lifestyles and tastes. Homes, most with welcoming front porches, encourage activity in the front yard. Most residences have rear access to the garage by means of a service alley.

Apartments and townhouses built in and around the downtown district are available for those who prefer an energetic, urban lifestyle.

Information Network:
A network of advanced telecommunications and information systems links the town's homes, school, healthcare facilities, office park and retail areas, including the Celebration Community Network, an Intranet developed specifically for community use.

Health:
Florida Hospital's Celebration Health, designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects, is located on a 60-acre site in Celebration Place. It is a community integrated system that focuses on generating good health. Services include:

Advanced diagnostics
60,000 sq. ft. Fitness/wellness center
Acute care 60 bed hospital and emergency department

Amenities:
18-hole, public golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and Robert Trent Jones, Jr. The par 72 course is 6,865 yards from the black tees and includes a 16,500 square- foot clubhouse designed by Cooper, Robertson & Partners. A three-hole youth practice course and aqua-range are also open.

Civic:
The Celebration Foundation is a non-profit organization established to promote and conduct community-building activities in Celebration. Through a variety of volunteer, civic and educational programs, the Foundation is able to welcome, inform and involve Celebration residents.
Worship: Central Florida Presbytery has built a Community Presbyterian Church on a two-acre site near the downtown.

Several other congregations gather at various community meeting spaces.

Service Providers:
Two Community Development Districts (CDD) (residential and commercial) provide funding for infrastructure and recreational amenities. Two community associations manage neighborhood amenities and common areas.

The CDDs deliver water, sewer and other services by purchasing capacity from the City of Kissimmee. Florida Power Corporation provides electricity.

Osceola County provides fire, EMS and police protection.
